A moment in time….
It’s a moment in time when a quietness within me arises and where my mind accepts that all is good with the world.
When after a day feeling like a boxer, parched, exhausted, and beaten from a day’s fighting, the sunset is my concerned trainer, wrapping me up, sitting me down, remedying my thirst, and whispering that I’m going to be ok…with no mention of the next fight waiting just to the east.
There is a moment in time when I’ve witnessed people go quiet, turn to the west, some stare, some bow, some pray, some acknowledge, some in the moment, most not caring if any eyes are on them.
A time when for a moment we move from the light, and silhouette against a palleted backdrop that makes us stop, notice, and at times capture. That moment before we become lost in the dark – just before the artificial lights take over, humming around us, revving past us, and invading our natural space.
It’s a time when nature stills, takes notice, suggests we be quiet and allows us to hear nothing.
A time when the air seems soft hearted, flavorful, yet so full of zing.
It’s a moment in time when I try to catch a moment.
